Trip 'n Dip | BCIT CST - Projects 1

Project Lead - Full Stack Developer - UI Design

Trip 'n Dip is a client-side JavaScript web application that helps users discover and explore places to visit. The app displays a curated list of sightseeing areas, each with details such as name, location, and an image. Users can browse the list and mark places for easy access later.

Developed for the COMP 1800 course, this project applies User-Centred Design practices and agile project management. It also demonstrates integration with Firebase backend services for storing user favorites, history, and reviews.

I am a first year student in the Co-op program of British Columbia Institute of Technology's (BCIT) Computer Systems Technology (CST) diploma. I enjoy figuring out the logical puzzles and understanding the complex processes that come with the field.

I would describe myself as a driven individual who loves learning, and experiencing new things. Spending 6 months actively sailing, and maintaining a Tall ship as part of an 80-person crew has allowed me to develop strong collaboration and communication skills.

I love playing games, no matter the medium; board, card, or computer, just to name a few. Photography is a newer interest of mine, however it pairs very well with my lifelong love of exploring nature.
